Trip To MOD

On November 20th our class had attended a trip to Much on Demand in Toronto. The purpose of this trip was to get a better understanding about Media, and how a tv program runs behind the scenes. The day was fun and also informationative, we had about 3.5 hrs to walk around downtown Toronto and explore city live. We were aired at 5:00pm- 6:00pm for about an hour. The expeirence being on TV was very exciting, since you feel like a star, even though your not the one talking. The best part of the trip was meeting Tim Deegan and Sarah, the reason was is because they are the stars of the show and it felt sick getting to meet them. The day we went was a all request friday which means, they play the songs we request. This was basically an entertainment purpose show, which means they where trying to entertain the audience with comedy and other. Their are 2 set producers who run the whole show, and tell us what to do. They tell us when to clap, laugh, and so forth . The producers basically told the audience what to do, and they pumped us when were on air, they got us excited and all. They where pretty cool. The purpose of the producers was to make the show good, they told us when to smile and they also told us not to wave to are parents, and do stupid things that would ruin the show. The reason why they told us these things was because Tim, Devon and Sarah are the stars of the show and if someone yells out something stupid the whole show would be a failure.Its funny how everyone on reality TV looks so happy but meanwhile we dont know the emotions they are experimenting.

 The reason the stars keep smiling on TV is because they are on air infront of millions. I believe the star's are down at several points when being put on air but they just act it all out and make them selves look happy. MOD is like a talk show for teenagers, the show sometimes features stars and singers but this occurs almost every other month or so forth. Some of the stars featured on MOD before include: Justin Bieber, and some stars from New Moon. On this show they show the gossip of celebrities, news, rumors and so forth. They also play music video's which are requested from people. While being on Air their was a web chat at one point which means someone would call MOD and be on air from their webroom cam. I found this very interesting how technology could make this happen.While on MOD the producer planned out the whole set, he was incontrol of the stars for example: where their going to sit, what their going to do and say.

1960 Assignment Reveiw

If you ask what Era we did for our assignment you quessed right it was the 1960's. Who was in my group you may ask? It was me , Kaira and Cara. I believe are group had tons of ups and downs in this assignment due to lack of meeting up and other problems. I believe our group cooperated real bad and we didn't work as a team, during the begging we worked really slow, and by the end are team picked up the pase and we finished good. At the beggining of our assignment us 3 decided to make it fun for the audience by adding 2009 music, and changing it into 1960. The audience seemed to like that. The reason why we did this was to make everyone feel welcome in there music genre, then we changed it into the oldies. We also added bloopers into our video for the audience, since everyone likes some comedy. I was actually happy with our final mark, i know we could of pulled off a better mark, but we didnt hand in the paper work. I had tons of fun working on this assignment from filming it , to putting it together. I learned alot from my Era including sports, fashion and more. I was impressed by the whole classes involvement in their era, all the videos came out amazing :). I believe thorsten did an amazing job, their video was well scripted and their timeline was amazing. The reason i enjoyed this assignment for the last time was because i had a chance to veiw all the years, which i wasnt born and how people lived back then.

Swine Flu Is Getting To Extreme!

Whats with all the coughing, sneezing, sore throats these days and so many absences in school. It must be swine flu? Swine flu is a flu you catch which is caused by pigs. If you ask what the symptoms of swine flu are, its basically the same as the regular flu. Why are so many people over exagerating about this flu? Its because students and teens find everything a joke. I hate how people these days say " you have swine flu " when someone just coughs.It isn't normal because this isnt a joke people actually die. What i find annoying about this is that i just became an uncle on November 5th 2009, and they dont allow me visit my own nephew due to swine flu....Like is this a joke or something? Doesnt my sister want me their,since im family? Doesnt she have a say? Not the nurses? They are taking this to the next level. I know people are dying, but their is so many advertisements on tv, and comercials showing people how to care for themselves so they dont catch it. What im trying to say is that, I cant even see my own nephew untill waiting about 4 days just over some flu. First of all im not diagnosed with the flu, so shouldn't i be allowed around my nephew. If i have a cold im not dumb, i could easily wear a mask.

MY THOUGHTS ON AVRIL'S PLAGARISM

My Opinion on this Plagarism is very urban. I believe Avril Lavigne has not plagarized. The reason why is because, first of all Avril is a teenager she did not know the other song existed. Secondly she went along with creating her song " Girlfriend", she did not know their was a song already created that sounded the same. " I want to be your boyfriend",doesnt even sound the same to "Girlfriend", the beat is completly different. The only simalirty both songs share is that they both use the term i want to be your boyfriend/girlfriend. But the beats are way different. On my own opinion i believe they should be less mean on Avril, like the punishment shouldn't be strict since she did not know about this. First of all Avril hardly has any criminal records so she shoudln't be judged so strictly, secondly she is a rock star. In my own words, Avril is not a criminal , she did not steal the song. How would she know a song from the 70's or older existed, that sounds the same as her song. Musical artists dont reasearch other songs before starting to write, how did Avril know it existed.

Give The G@Y's Some Peace

Why do we hold hands? Kiss in public? Also have our own parades? Thats because we are gay. Gays are people who are interested in the same sex, thats nothing to laugh at because we are regular people just like you all. Why is their so much discrimination and hate against us ? That's because people find it disquisting in what we do. Gay people are just like normal people, but we are interested in the same sex. We do have our own parades once a year or even more depending on the location. The hamilton Gay parade takes place in June mostly the starting of June like the 8th. Toronto pride is way bigger than the Hamilton pride because plenty more people attend and this parade occurs end of June or beggining of July. Why do we have the right to our own parade? Because we are one of the richest demographic groups in the world and we can afford it ? Around a million people attended Toronto's Pride in 2009, and around 4 or 5 million was spent. Well lets get back to the hate, plenty of teens and adults go through a hard time being gay. I myself have been through many of challanges, like being name called or either beaten up. People just seem to hate gay people since we are different. Why are all highschools starting GSA groups in september 09? Thats because they want to change the veiws of people, so they can look at gay people differently ? Orchard Park highschool is starting up a Gay/Straight Alliance because so much hate was going around, that we have come to decision to put it all to end. Two of my gay friends in Orchard Park have been beaten up for being lesbian, one got a stick thrown at her eye and now is color blind while the other got called dyke till she dropped out. I believe highschools are doing the proper thing by starting up GSA groups since students will feel safe and welcomed by all. So whats the whole point of this blog? I just want to state that Gay people should deserve the right to freedom and peace without being discriminated against like everyone else.

I never thought this day would come. I finally completed the lyrics to my song " why I love you". I am so excited and the night is setting in, so I believe I should put my lyrics aside and call it a night. The next morning , I had some breakfast and went to the recording studio where I recorded and published my song. After reording my song, I went out with couple of freinds and had some cofee's while showing them the lyrics to the song. My friends thought the song was deep and emotional, this made me feel really happy. The following evening I finished my homework and decided to hit the sack , since i had school the next morning. On my way to school I picked up couple of friends like rosie,sarina and kristen. On our way to school my song started playing on the radio, and we cranked the speakers since we were all in shock. I noticed a black car was following us to Orchard Park but was confused on who it might be. When arriving at school I noticed tons of kids running towards my car screaming my name. I was really shocked, and did not know what was happening. When steeping out of the car i noticed the black cars tires screetch from the car which following me, and tons of photographers with microphones had jumped out and surrounded me. Plenty of people where around me asking me questions, and screaming my name, camera's where flashing at me and it was a big shock. I believe I had become a star. In class teachers kept pulling me aside , and asking me questions about the song. I believe they were interveiwing me, so that way they can get paid for the questions i give them. This was so stressfull, and it was kind of getting on my nerves. The school bell had rung and on my way to the car they where still their following me and taking snaps and snaps of photo's of me. I finally arrived home and logged onto my facebook account , and say plenty of photo's tagged of me. I finally realized my friends, where involved aswell they must be helping out the paparazzi's. I had begun to cry, because now i was a star and cant live the original life they are all around me. I cant have peace photo's will be taken almost every day, and now they will follow me everywhere and look at every move. I do feel proud that i am a star, and off my accomplishments which ive achieved. I cannot complain since i choose to be a star, and now i deserve to suffer. The paprazzi's are doing their job as im doing mine.
